The Social Justice Book Project brought to us by the St. Louis Park Library was a great way to teach young children about the different shades of our skin; how all colors of our skin is beautiful. The books they provided are wonderful gifts and really do a great job of explaining what racism is and provoked  conversation and concern among our students. They loved the activities that really challenged the them to examine their skin and discuss all of their different features but to also discuss many ways they are the same and realize everyone should be treated the same!
